About the Internship Program:

The MAI Lab Internship program provides a unique opportunity for enthusiastic individuals across Africa to engage in hands-on research and methods development in the fields of medical imaging and artificial intelligence. This internship offers a dynamic learning experience, fostering collaboration, and encouraging exploration within a vibrant research environment.

Eligibility Criteria:

We are seeking motivated individuals who meet the following criteria:

• Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate or graduate program in computer science, engineering, medical physics, biomedical engineering, or a related field.
• Residents in any field of Medicine
• Working knowledge of computer programming language (Python, Java or C#)
• Familiarity with AWS (Amazon Web Services) or similar cloud computing platforms.
• Passion for the intersection of medical imaging and artificial intelligence.
• Demonstrated interest through coursework, projects, or previous experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Internship Duration:

The internship program will span 12 weeks and include a mix of didactic learning, hands-on projects, and mentorship from experienced researchers in the field. This is a full-time position. Residents and early career researchers are welcome to apply and can complete their internship part-time over 24 weeks.
